In addition to being a licensed psychologist, Dr. O’Leary is a certified child yoga instructor in Flower Yoga by Tara Rachel Jones, MEd, RYT- 500, E-RYT-500 (http://www.floweryoga.com/) and has participated in therapeutic yoga training with Kate Graham, LMHC, CYT-500, of Soulful Yoga Therapy (http://www.soulfulyogatherapy.com) as well as in mindfulness-based training curriculums focusing on nurturing positive emotions and traits (e.g., Creating Compassionate Cultures, http://creatingcompassionatecultures.org and 16 Guidelines for Life, http://16guidelines.org). Dr. O’Leary incorporates yoga and mindfulness techniques in her work to help children cope with attention, learning and executive function deficits, anxiety, mood issues, and general life and academic stress. After seeing the positive general effects of yoga and meditation first hand and reviewing the growing body of research on yoga, exercise, and mindfulness for improving emotional well-being, learning and attention, Dr. O’Leary became determined to share these enormous benefits with her clients, many of which have trouble verbally expressing and recognizing their thoughts and feelings, comprehending or attending to lengthy verbal discussions, and generally focusing and organizing their thoughts and actions long enough for many traditional therapeutic approaches.

In addition to her strong belief in the power of incorporating yoga and mindfulness techniques in therapy and coaching, she experiences the enormous benefits of enjoying yoga, meditation and exercise in her everyday life. When she is not working or doing yoga, she enjoys spending time laughing and navigating life with her husband, 2 daughters, rescue dog Hamilton, 2 kittens named Dalia and Lama, and a bunny named Valentina.
